The Rūta confectionery factory has collaborated with artist Julija Janus to present a new line of sweet treats that invite you to enjoy a fresh look into the world of queens. We have added a new chocolate collection to our Secret Love line of products – a humorous and contemporary view of the strong personality of Catherine Jagiellon!

Catherine Jagiellon was a courageous princess of Lithuania and Poland, Queen of Sweden, and a woman surrounded by the bustle of a Renaissance manor. Back in her day, there were nuts, dried fruits and spices on the dinner tables of the nobles, while natural sweeteners such as honey and nut pastes were used for desserts.

This collection, dedicated to Catherine Jagiellon, contains handmade sweet treats with almonds, puffed rice and milk chocolate – a delicate and subtle combination that is sure to take you back to a time when the queen’s sweet treats were considered a special delicacy at the manor. It is a nostalgic reminder of Renaissance luxury adapted to modern tastes. These are exclusive and cannot be found in any other collection. After all, Catherine herself was always unique!
