Rūta awarded the ALCCIC Badge of Gratitude

Last week, the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts celebrated its centenary.

The Chambers of Commerce date back to 1599, when the first chambers were founded in Marseille, France, to protect the rights of merchants. In Lithuania, the foundations of their activity were established in the 1922 Constitution, and in June 1925, the first Chamber of Commerce and Industry was inaugurated in Kaunas. Symbolically, to celebrate this centenary, business and government representatives met in Kaunas District – where it all began.

The event honoured the companies, as well as the government representatives and local authorities who have contributed the most to business development. Among them was Rūta, and the confectionery factory was awarded the Badge of Gratitude for over 100 years of history and cherished traditions.

This award is not just a recognition of our steady efforts – it is also an obligation to maintain a responsible and values-based approach to business, while preserving Lithuanian identity and centuries-old traditions. We would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to ALCCIC for this award, and we would like to thank our colleagues, partners, clients, and the community, with whom we don’t just make chocolate, but also write the history of Lithuanian businesses.
