Bona Sforza d’Aragona was the Queen of Poland and the Grand Duchess of Lithuania. Not only was she a political reformer, but she was also a true ambassador for gastronomy. She transformed Lithuanian and Polish cuisine, bringing Italian flavours to the kitchens of manors. This was the era when exotic delicacies from Southern Europe became the new symbols of taste in royal cuisine.
